Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ years License: Board certification through ARDMS with ABD Certifications: ARDMS ABD required, GYN/RVT/OB preferred Must-Have Skills/Experience: Experience as a staff sonographer for general diagnostic ultrasound Description: This is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering an array of surgical services, including robotics. It features a 24-hour emergency department and extensive medical imaging capabilities. The facility includes an intensive care unit and specialty services such as orthopedics and spine, along with a cardiac catheterization lab. The hospital provides a family birthing center and an intermediate care nursery on the fourth floor. The role involves general diagnostic ultrasound. You will be working with equipment such as Mindray Resona 7 and GE Fortis. The patient population primarily consists of geriatric and adult patients, with very limited pediatric workload. Call responsibilities are important, including coverage for two weeknights and assistance with weekend call. Lodging is available for call nights. Personal characteristics should include being easy-going, competent, and comfortable in a community-focused hospital environment. Preferred experiences include familiarity with HCA/LifePoint and MindRay, but these are not required. Common diagnoses and treatments include abdominal imaging, biophysical profiles for OB, and thyroid assessments.
